Nplay Core — low-code immersive platformConcept · in development
Nplay Core is the foundation under Nplay's immersive products: a scalable, cloud-based engine for multiplayer 3D environments, AI avatars and real-time rendering, with low-code and no-code tools so businesses can build their own experiences with minimal development effort. Today it powers Nplay Vista, Nplay Scholar and Nplay Nexus; opening it as a platform is the next step, now in development.
Every Nplay product starts from the same foundation
A virtual convention centre, a 3D real-estate configurator and an immersive training course look like three products. Underneath they need the same things: a real-time 3D renderer, avatars that many people can share at once, voice and chat, a registration system, payments, a content manager and an admin dashboard.
Nplay Core is where those pieces live once. It is the immersive engine that renders the scene, the multiplayer layer that keeps everyone in the same space, and the module library that every product plugs into. Because the pieces are shared, a new experience is assembled rather than rebuilt — and that is what makes a low-code immersive platform possible.
Core already runs in production inside Nplay's products. What is in development is opening it up: a plug-and-play platform where a business creates its own immersive environment with no-code tools, AI-powered engagement and cloud integration, without a game-development team.
What is inside Nplay Core
Real-time 3D rendering
Proprietary engine with 3D modelling and rendering pipelines, real-time AI-assisted rendering and cloud delivery to browsers via WebGL, PC apps and headsets.
Multiplayer system
Persona avatars, shared spaces and real-time voice and chat, so clients, suppliers, students or delegates meet inside the same environment.
AI avatars
The knowledge-bank avatar engine used in the Nplay Halo Box and Nplay Orator — multilingual, trainable, embeddable in any Core scene.
Low-code / no-code tools
Configurators, scene templates and drag-and-drop layouts that let non-developers assemble experiences from ready modules.
Business modules

What a business can build on a multiplayer 3D platform
- A virtual showroom where sales staff and customers meet as avatars around configurable products
- A branded metaverse space for a launch, a festival or a national campaign (see heritage metaverse)
- A multiplayer training environment for a factory, hospital or academy
- A digital twin of a campus or facility with live data and remote walkthroughs (see digital twin campus)
- A children's safe-zone 3D experience for mass gatherings and heritage sites
- An internal collaboration space for distributed design and engineering teams
- A white-label immersive platform for an agency or integrator
Why immersive platforms are moving to the cloud
Where it fits with other Nplay products
Core is the layer everything else stands on. Screens and holograms — Nplay Halo Box and Nplay Beam — are the physical endpoints; Core renders the 3D content and avatars they show. Nplay Orator is Core's avatar engine applied to presentations. Nplay Live streams what happens inside a Core world to mobile audiences. When a client needs something none of the products cover, our VR/AR development team builds it on Core — which is why delivery is faster than starting from an empty game engine.
Low-code immersive engine: frequently asked questions
Can we license Nplay Core today?
Core is in production inside Nplay's own products and in custom projects we deliver. Self-service platform access with no-code tools is in development. If you have a project now, we build it on Core for you.
What does low-code mean here?
Common building blocks — scenes, avatars, registration, payments, dashboards, configurators — are ready modules. A project configures and brands them; custom code is only written for what is truly new.
Does it need special hardware?
No. Core delivers to web browsers via WebGL, to PC apps and to mobile AR. VR headsets are supported where the experience benefits from them.
How many users can share one space?
The multiplayer system is built for shared persistent spaces with avatars, voice and chat. Capacity is planned per project and scales on cloud infrastructure; ask us about your audience size.
Can Core integrate with our existing systems?
Yes. Core exposes APIs and dashboards for suppliers and partners today (used in Nplay Vista), and integrates with registration, payment and content systems in the products built on it.
