Healthcare digital signage for an integrated medical hubDeployed · Amman

شاشات رقمية لمجمّع طبي في عمّان — دراسة حالة

An integrated healthcare hub in Amman runs specialty clinics, an emergency care centre, laboratories and radiology under one roof — and could not keep patients informed about all of it. Four Nplay Beam displays now carry partner clinics, new services and health information to the people waiting.

Challenge

A large portfolio, a small notice board

The hub is an integrated healthcare provider: a portfolio of fully serviced specialty clinics, an emergency care centre and support services including laboratory and radiology. That breadth is its strength and its communication problem. Patients waiting for one clinic rarely know about the others, new healthcare products and services launch without anyone in the building hearing of them, and partner providers had no way to reach the people already on site.

The hub wanted healthcare digital signage that its own staff could update, that would run reliably in waiting areas, and that would present partners and services without looking like advertising in a clinical setting.

What we built

Four screens, one library

Distributed displays on Nplay Beam

Four displays placed across the hub's waiting and circulation areas, each with a Nplay Beam player, grouped so a message can go to all or to one clinic's area.

A content library the hub controls

5 GB of cloud storage for commercial and informative visual media. The hub's team uploads material on new products, services and partner providers and schedules it from the dashboard — no agency, no USB sticks.

Promotion of partner clinics and services

Rotating playlists introduce the specialty clinics, laboratory and radiology services and partner offers to patients who are already in the building and have time to read.

Reliable playback

Content is stored on each player and keeps running if the network drops; the dashboard shows each display's status.

Delivery

A small, quick deployment

  1. Placement

Four display positions chosen with the hub across waiting areas and corridors where patients spend time.

  2. Installation

Players connected to the four displays and paired to the Nplay Beam cloud account with 5 GB of storage.

  3. Content and training

The hub's team trained to upload commercial and informative media and schedule playlists; first campaigns for partner providers and new services loaded.

FAQ

Healthcare digital signage: frequently asked questions

Is healthcare digital signage different from retail signage?

The platform is the same — Nplay Beam — but the content mix is different: informative health media alongside partner and service promotions, layouts that stay calm, and playlists the clinic's staff can adjust quickly. This hub uses 4 displays and 5 GB of storage.

Who updates the clinic waiting room screens?

The hub's own team. They upload media and schedule playlists in the cloud dashboard; nothing needs to be loaded on site.

Can partner clinics supply their own content?

Yes. Media from partner providers is uploaded to the shared library and scheduled by the hub, which keeps editorial control over what patients see.

Can the same system run in a hospital with many more screens?

Yes. The same platform runs 32 branches for a hypermarket chain in Jordan with 32 players and 10 GB of storage, so a hospital network is well within scope.
