Digital signage for a 32-branch hypermarket chainDeployed · 32 branches · Jordan

لافتات رقمية لسلسلة هايبرماركت في 32 فرعاً — دراسة حالة

This retail digital signage Jordan case covers 32 branches run from one Nplay Beam dashboard. A global hypermarket chain needed its Jordanian branches to show the same offers at the same time, train staff on the same screens, and play one radio station through every store's speakers. Nplay Beam now does all three across 32 branches from a single dashboard.

Challenge

Two audiences, thirty-two locations, no single switch

Hypermarkets talk to customers and staff at the same time in the same building. Offers change weekly, and every branch should show the new price the day it starts. Staff need training videos and announcements before a shift, not a printed memo. And the sound system — the in-store music and jingles — was a separate, branch-by-branch decision.

The chain asked for one system to cover all of it across 32 branches in Jordan, with head office in control and no reliance on branch staff to load content. Retail digital signage in Jordan at this scale is rare; this is one of the largest single-dashboard deployments we have run.

What we built

One platform, three jobs

Customer promotions

Product and offer campaigns published from head office to all 32 branches — instant multi-screen publishing, playlists per branch, automated schedules and offline playback if a branch loses connectivity.

Staff training and announcements

Internal training videos and announcements delivered to screens in staff areas from the same dashboard, keeping the customer-facing channel separate.

In-store radio through the sound system

Our technicians connected each branch's switches and amplifiers to the Nplay Beam players. Music radio, jingles and announcements are now controlled from the dashboard alongside the screens.

Central management

Users, access rights, devices, media storage and performance monitored centrally. A screen that goes offline is visible to head office before a customer notices.

Delivery

How the rollout ran

  1. Scope

The chain requested support for 32 branches across the Kingdom, covering customer screens, staff screens and the store sound systems.

  2. Players and platform

32 set-top boxes provisioned on the cloud CMS with 10 GB of shared media storage; branch groups, users and playlists configured for head office.

  3. Installation and audio integration

Players connected to all requested screens in each branch; switches and amplifiers wired to the players so the sound system follows the dashboard.

  4. Operation

Head office publishes promotions, training content and radio; the platform monitors devices and keeps content available offline.

What we'd add next

Natural next steps for a chain this size

  • Halo Box hologram displays at entrances and electronics counters for launches
  • Nplay Slate e-paper shelf labels for central price changes (in development)
  • Video walls with 2×2 or 3×3 controllers in promenade zones
  • Larger per-device storage allowances — a 2025 proposal for another chain specified 100 GB per device
  • Wayfinding and interactive kiosks integrated with the signage network

FAQ

Retail digital signage Jordan: frequently asked questions

Is this digital signage software available in Jordan and Saudi Arabia?

Yes. Nplay Beam is our cloud digital signage and content management platform, delivered and supported from Amman and Riyadh. This deployment covers 32 branches in Jordan; the same platform runs a memorial museum and a healthcare hub.

How is the store sound system controlled from a signage dashboard?

Our technicians wire each branch's audio switches and amplifiers to the Nplay Beam player, which has a separate audio output. Audio playlists, announcements and jingles are then scheduled and pushed from the dashboard like any other content.

What happens when a branch loses internet?

Content is stored on the player and scheduled playlists continue offline. Head office sees the device status and changes sync when the connection returns.

How long does a rollout like this take?

Proposals for chains quote delivery of players and subscriptions in two to four weeks from payment confirmation, with branch installation scheduled in waves. First-year support and maintenance are included.
